CSR .ART brings contemporary art right into life: In changing exhibitions at BIKINI BERLIN, in the heart of City West, CSR.ART showcases works by relevant artists - regardless of age, origin, or gender.
Accompanied by vernissages and events, art here becomes a meeting place. The goal: to connect people through art, promote dialogue and exchange.
Organized by the non-profit DEEDS.LAB gUG and in collaboration with exciting galleries, art here becomes visible, approachable, and lively.

Why come by?
CSR.ART x Galerie Martin Mertens: FINE ART!
Right from the first step into the FINE ART! exhibition, you'll notice: Something is happening here that captivates your gaze. A real head-turner! The works at first seem clear and easy to grasp - but stay a little longer, and they begin to show you their second, third, fourth layer. The artists Thorbjørn Bechmann, Sébastien Gaudette, and Sebastian Herzau work with proven artistic means, but they twist them so that your eye keeps stumbling - in the best sense.
Thorbjørn Bechmann (Denmark) lets pigments flow over the canvas in heavily diluted oil, creating transparent color spaces and seamless transitions that sometimes float, sometimes merge like waves. What starts calm can become intense.
Sébastien Gaudette (Canada) shapes paper? No, aluminum! Objects that look like crumpled paper. All handmade, without digital tricks. This blurs the line between sculpture and drawing - and you're no longer sure what you're actually looking at.
Sebastian Herzau (Germany) paints portraits and still lifes that remind you of something everyday: photos and tapes - until you realize: That's all painted! No photography, no adhesive tapes - just brushes, paint, and a masterful deception that draws you right into the picture.
